MUBS Exams Postponed Again Over Missing Marks
Makerere University Business School has postponed its End of Semester examinations yet again as students go on strike over missing marks.
In a letter addressed to the Student fraternity dated January 24, 2022, the school principal, Prof. Waswa Balunya explained that examinations will be postponed until such time as the issue of missing marks is resolved.
“I am reaffirming my statement that exams will not be held until when your leaders confirm to me that there is a satisfactory response to all genuine cases of missing results…”
Balunywa assured students that in a couple days, all issues of missing marks will be resolved and urged them to be patient as they are still working on finalists issues.
“…for this reason, I appeal to you to give us time to address these issues. We are now tackling 3rd years students’ issues and we hope that they should be resolved in the next two days.” Balunywa’s letter reads.
It should be noted that last year, MUBS opted to assign online examinations to students owing to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country. However, this seems to have backfired as students’ marks have gone missing.
