Big Eye is a musician. Despite having been invited, Star boss claims he will not attend Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s birthday celebrations tonight because the First Son has not shown him sympathy.
Ibrahim Mayanja, a.k.a. Big Eye, was one of the most outspoken supporters of the NRM in the run-up to the 2021 national elections.
Big Eye, along with other singers, rallied behind President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM), urging his supporters to vote them back into power.
Despite the NRM’s re-election, Big Eye’s career as a musician has been severely harmed by his decisions.
Big Eye claims that he has been sidelined by the NRM, in addition to being pelted with bottles by fans who have urged him off the stage on multiple occasions.
He further claims that his first son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has shown him no sympathy and thus will not be present at his birthday celebrations.
Muhoozi’s celebrations, which begin tonight at Lugogo Cricket Oval, will be attended by a number of public celebrities and regime allies, including Bebe Cool, Chameleon, Bad Black, and Balaam Barugahara.
Big Eye indicated in a tweet that he will not attend the event, but that he appreciates the invitation.
I have no reason to attend Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s birthday celebrations since, despite all of the difficulties I am currently facing, he has never expressed sympathy for me, despite the fact that everything is happening to me because I am defending the administration that he adores. My employment was also lost. Please accept my apologies for offending any of my comrades. However, I appreciate your invitation.
