Modern education has evolved into much more than books, chalkboards, and assignments. Being able to bridge the gap between the school and its parents is crucial for a school’s success in a learner’s educational journey. d6 provides a system that communities may utilize to notify and alert, coordinate and organize, and interact with parents in order to assist develop meaningful connections between schools and parents.
“The quality of education offered is always contingent on a school being administered as successfully and efficiently as possible in all areas,” argues Willem Kitshoff, CEO of d6 Group. Learning will be jeopardized if communication with all stakeholders is not adequately managed. So far, d6 has assisted over 2 700 schools in South Africa and other African nations such as Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.”
The Communications product from d6 is a software solution designed to facilitate not only school-parent contact but also communication throughout the school community. All users can be informed to school news, calendar events, valuable resources, a gallery, and accurate contact data via a multi-channel communication platform (d6 app, email, and SMS). This allows the school to communicate the appropriate message to the appropriate audience, regardless of their preferred communication method. Furthermore, this enables schools to establish private channels with more restricted access to the information with which they communicate. d6 has also made certain that its communication platform has strong integration capabilities in order to eliminate excessive data duplication between platforms.
“We created the d6 communication platform largely to address communication flaws.” Schools in East Africa will also be able to integrate with the whole d6 school management suite, which comprises the following business departments: administration, curriculum, finance, and communication.”
Some of the benefits of the communication platform include avoiding the usage of different systems, ensuring that communication is optimized by being distributed through numerous distribution channels, and guaranteeing compliance with data standards and regulations.

Our platform is founded on our Southern African expertise, but we have aspirations to expand across the continent. Following our involvement with various African schools, our team discovered that 80 percent of them had comparable communication issues. A number of schools rely on more traditional ways of communication, which results in vital information not reaching parents and, as a result, frustration. “The objective of d6 is to empower schools to focus on their passion for education by simplifying a school’s management and communication process,” Kitshoff continues.
