Singer Nina Roz faces a lawsuit from her ex-lover and music producer Daddy Andre if she continues to perform songs, he wrote for her. (Why Nina Roz could be imprisoned if she continues to perform Daddy Andre’s songs)
Andre Ojambo, a.k.a. Daddy Andre, submitted a notice of intent to sue Nina Kankunda, a.k.a. Nina Roz, over contract termination earlier this week.
In the letter, Daddy Andre says that Nina Roz cancelled a 5-year contract made on June 8, 2020, through GM Kibirige and Co. Advocates in November 2021.
It also states that she signed a new management contract and began playing songs held by Daddy Andre “without remitting the requisite cash” to him.
Nina Roz’s activities reportedly created damages for which Andre now seeks Shs120 million accumulated as a result of the songs’ development, marketing, and promotion.
The document obtained included four songs recorded by Daddy Andre for Nina Roz under Black Market Records, including Nagaana, Billboard Kipande, Andele, and Enyonta.
Nina Roz has been ordered to stop playing the mentioned songs and to pay Daddy Andre Shs120m (Shs30m for each song) within 7 days, plus Shs12m in legal fees.
