Shakira Nassejje, Joseph Kwesiga, Jovan Kagezi, and David Kasaali are the four young aspiring entrepreneurs who have battled tooth and nail to keep their spots in the ongoing MTN-sponsored youth mentorship reality show Nsindika Njake ne MTN.

The 12-week show, which debuted this year in April, aimed to teach young people how to run profitable businesses in the most cost-effective way possible, while also encouraging entrepreneurship among the many viewers in order to reduce the country’s unemployment rate.

Only four of the 24 young entrepreneurs who began the show have managed to put up a valiant fight by consistently completing the various challenges and refining their propositions to keep them in the race, which will see one of them take home Shs 60 million as their business capital courtesy of MTN Uganda.

The runner-ups will also receive cash prizes to help them with their business ventures.

While the overall winners will be determined by the judges’ votes based on the delivery of their final pitches, a voting window was opened on June 16th to allow viewers to vote for their favorite participant ahead of the show’s grand finale. The winner of the people’s choice award will receive an additional cash prize of Shs 5 million.

The four Nsindika Njake finalists are profiled briefly

Shakira Nassejje, 19, who runs a small crafting business called ‘Shan Crafters Hub,’ maintains that MTN has opened her eyes to see new capabilities and gifts in herself over a three-month period on the highly educative and inspiring Nsindika Njake show.

“What an honor for a young girl like me to compete against three energetic men!” exclaimed Nasseje in the show, which aired last week. “I applied with the belief that, despite my small business, I could win.”

Mohammad Muyingo, Nassejje’s father, is proud of his daughter for pushing herself to participate in such a business skilling project that will help her own invented business.

When she tells me to watch the show on NBS TV, I immediately start rallying family, friends, and relatives to tune in and support my brilliant girl. “I am confident that my daughter will win because of the levels she has passed,” Muyingo said.

Another contestant, energetic Joseph Kwesiga, who runs a sugarcane juice business called ‘Natural Crafted Blends,’ heard the Nsindika Njake advertisement on Galaxy FM and followed the procedures required to participate.

“I’ve learned how to run my business while adhering to quality standards, as well as communication and team-building skills that will come in handy once I hire people to run the business in my absence,” Kwesiga said.

Kwesiga’s sister, Edith Kigozi, claims that she has seen her brother start numerous small businesses in order to make a living. Kigozi believes that her brother will not waste the 60 million shillings on gambling, but will instead invest in materials to expand his current business.

Jovan Kagezi, for one, stated that he became interested in participating in this entrepreneurship program while listening to Radio Simba. He beat out hundreds of other applicants to land a spot on the show.

Kagezi praised the challenging project for broadening his thinking capacity and providing him with a bigger vision for his company, Giovatech Renewable Energies.

“This opportunity has improved my marketing language, business management, and cash book keeping, among other things.” “I thank MTN for allowing the world to see my business and for using the show to inspire people to start small-scale businesses,” said Kagezi.

According to Olivia Nakakande, a Giovahtech employee, Kagezi is a hardworking man who, if elected, plans to upskill all employees.

“I was excited when Jovan was accepted into MTN’s Nsindika Njake, and watching him compete and explore the business sector gives me hope that our company is on its way to the top of the economy.” “I hope he wins the 60 million shillings,” said Nakakande.

David Kassali owns and operates the ‘Psalms 4’ ground nut processing and packaging company. He would be able to expand his business if he won the Shs 60 million.

“I hope to open different branches and put all of the skills I’ve gained from this project to use.” Please vote for me so that I can sell more of my products,” Kasaali said.

Doreen Najjuma, Kasaali’s wife, spoke passionately about the changes that have occurred in the home, family, and community as a result of Kasaali’s business.

“I am seeing success because my husband is a skilled entrepreneur.” “I ask the people to vote for him because he has worked hard for it,” Najjuma said.

Kasaali, a foresighted entrepreneur, stated that he has already budgeted for the 60 million shillings that he believes he will win.

All of the contestants requested that Ugandans vote for them by dialing *170*70#. They expressed gratitude to all of the partners who helped make this a success. The voting period began last week and will conclude tomorrow, ahead of the final show.

The people’s choice winner will receive an additional Shs 5 million in addition to the cash prize determined by the judges’ decisions, which will be informed by the participants’ pitches.
