Jose Chameleone made two surprise appearances on Saturday and Sunday, leaving revelers impressed at the three-day Roast and Rhyme festival in Jinja over the weekend. (Chameleone steals the show while Roast and Rhyme shine in Jinja)
On Friday, revelers from various squads drove to Jinja’s Source of the Nile Gardens – Nile Park, where Day One of the Roast and Rhyme Nyam on the Nile edition was set to take place.
Various activities such as a bonfire, poetry, touring the Nile, quad biking, and bungee jumping greeted the revelers to a fun-filled escape from the city noise.
The party, sponsored by Bell Lager Mpola Enjoyments, went up a notch on Saturday with picnic vibes, a cook-off, and performances later that night.
Nyama choma was paired with Bell Lager beverages, which were plentiful at the venue.
Many people were taken aback when Jose Chameleone appeared on stage around 10:40pm, midway through Zex Bilangilangi’s performance.
The crowds were yelling at the top of their lungs as the Leone Island chief performed alongside the Firebase Crew sensation.
The deejays then took over to provide the revelers with a memorable night of music, and they seemed to enjoy it as many were seen stuck at the venue with no plans to return to their rooms.
The early morning Sunday sunrise then invited revelers to dress in all-white attire ahead of Selector Jay’s Brunch.
The “Sunday Service All White Brunch” washed away Saturday’s hangover with soothing music. Everyone was dressed appropriately for the occasion.
Live music was provided by Benon Mugumbya, Steve Keys, Myco Ouma, and Joseph Sax, among others, before Chameleone turned up the vibe to perform his songs.
Several visitors were overheard saying how refreshing the Roast and Rhyme was as they gathered their belongings to return to Kampala ahead of a busy week. (Chameleone steals the show while Roast and Rhyme shine in Jinja – Latest celebrity gossip in Uganda)
