as Priscilla Zawedde, Azawi admits that she was hesitant to plan her first concert this year but was persuaded to do so by her management. (I was first afraid – but my team inspired me – Azawi at debut performance)
Every artist must have great excitement when planning their first concert; it must be a day that most musicians dream about and look forward to.
As thrilling as it may be, it can also be extremely terrifying, particularly in an industry as cutthroat as Uganda’s music.
Even for Azawi, one of the best musical performers in the nation right now, the idea of holding her debut show was rather terrifying.
On Wednesday, Azawi confessed to the NBS After 5 team that it was her team’s encouragement that got her ready for the event.
“I was afraid, but what inspired me was having so many people have faith in me and say that we can do it. It was irreparable at that point, so we acted on faith and posted the posters on social media, she added.
Tickets are still available for the “Azawi African Music Concert,” which is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2022, at Lugogo Zoe Grounds.
Fans of the singer are excited to see her perform with other Ugandan artists like Fik Fameica, Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, A Pass, and Karole Kasita.
We hope for the best for her! (I was first afraid – but my team inspired me – Azawi at debut performance – celebrity jazz ug)
