Ayire Saddam, aka Vyper Ranking, a dancehall singer for Bantu Entertainment Africa, is thinking about leaving the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) due to the organization’s lack of direction. (Why Vyper Ranking is thinking about leaving UMA)
If nothing changes inside the organization, the dancehall star who was a guest on the D’Hook show on 933 KFM on Friday threatened to return the UMA identity card very soon.
He said that rather than fellow musicians who only wanted to profit from the organisation, UMA should be led by people with a clear vision and sound strategy.
I believe it to be just a body; it is inoperable, and I will return their ID shortly. I’m covered by UMA, but I don’t think it’s effective.
In addition, Vyper Ranking discussed the difficulties he is having promoting his brand-new music video “Gwookya,” which has been rejected by various media outlets due to allegations that UCC prohibited it because to the swimsuit scenes.
He objects to some Nigerian music videos playing on TV that include indecent content. (Why Vyper Ranking is thinking about leaving UMA – celebrity jazz Uganda)
