Eddy Kenzo, a vocalist for Big Talent Entertainment whose true name is Edirisa Musuuza, has been prohibited from appearing at any events in Kampala, Uganda.

The court’s instructions came when famous event producer Luba Events sued Eddy Kenzo for breaking a contract they had made over the planning of the just-completed “Eddy Kenzo Festival.”

Eddy Kenzo misled him, according to Luba Events, by taking away the organizing rights after receiving payment from him to hold “Eddy Kenzo Festival” tours across the nation.

The tour took place at Masaka, Bundibujo, and various other locations across the nation.

When he planned the Eddy Kenzo Festival in 2020, which didn’t take place because of Covid 19, Luba Events disclosed that he suffered damages totaling Sha800M.

He continued by saying that despite a legally binding agreement in which Luba and Kenzo agreed to an amount of Shs140M given to the singer, Eddy Kenzo went ahead and organized the event on his own this year.

The decision by Eddy Kenzo to hand over the event to a different planner didn’t go well for Luba.

The court has blocked all Eddy Kenzo bookings in Uganda in light of the most recent information.

“This matter will be decided in its entirety before HER WORSHIP NAKITENDE JULIET on November 9, 2022, in the presence of the applicant’s attorney and in the absence of the applicant and the respondent.

THE FOLLOWING IS HEREBY ORDERED;

The Respondent, his representatives, employees, assignees, managers, promoters, and anyone else claiming to be affiliated with him are prohibited from claiming to hold the Eddy Kenzo Festival or any other musical performances/events/festivals anywhere in the Republic of Uganda.
until the outcome of a legal application for a temporary injection made in accordance with Miscellaneous Application No. 1572 of 2022.
The Order states that the Application complies with the primary cause’s decision.
