A few days following the successful performance, Eddy Kenzo once more marked a significant turning point in his musical career when he was nominated for the Recording Academy Grammys Awards 2023.

The singer of “Sitya Loss” received a nomination for the song “Gimme Love” by American artist Matt B, on which he appeared in the category of Best Global Performance Act.

The news of Eddy Kenzo’s nomination generated a lot of excitement in the Ugandan entertainment industry, and numerous of his fellow celebs wished him luck.

When he asserted that he was the first Ugandan artist to ever receive a Grammy nomination, some critics also spoke out against him.

Others noted that Matt B would not have received the nomination if it weren’t for his wife orchestrating the nomination.

Eddy Kenzo stepped out for a quick defense and thanked Matt B and his wife for their tireless efforts in supporting him.
