Producers:
“Dune: Part Two” is directed and produced by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts. The film is a sequel to “Dune” (2021) and is based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel “Dune.” Legendary Entertainment acquired the film rights for the Dune franchise in 2016, leading to Villeneuve’s involvement in creating a two-part adaptation due to the novel’s complexity. Production for both films was a significant undertaking that involved filming in various locations such as Budapest, Italy, Jordan, and Abu Dhabi.
After facing delays due to Hollywood labor disputes in 2023, “Dune: Part Two” premiered in 2024 to critical acclaim and commercial success. The film’s production team worked diligently to bring Herbert’s intricate world to life on screen while staying true to the source material’s themes and characters.
