On Wednesday, Kato Lubwama, a former member of parliament for Rubaga South who was also a comedian, actor, and musician, passed away from heart issues.
Since then, plans for a fitting send-off and dignified burial have been made, with dozens of his friends, family members, former coworkers, and admirers paying a visit to his house in Kisigula, Mutundwe.
Politicians and entertainment figures have physically visited the residence, and others have continued to post condolences on their social media profiles.
The information given indicates that the late Kato Lubwama’s body will be buried after a week of grieving, as he frequently requested when he was still alive.
Following several public eulogies, the founder of Diamonds Ensemble will be buried on June 14, 2023, a Wednesday.

The body of Lubwama will arrive at the home of the family on Friday and remain there for two days. After a mass on Sunday at Lubaga Cathedral, there will be a day of public mourning on Monday at the National Theater.
Place Of Burial
On Wednesday, Kato Lubwama’s remains will be interred at his ancestral home in Nkozi, Mawokota, Mpigi District.
Since the comedian’s death, a number of artists and politicians have gathered to his home in Mutundwe, Rubaga Division, to comfort and express their condolences to his family and friends. Muhammad Nsereko, a member of parliament for Kampala Central, Moses Kasibante, a former lawmaker for Rubaga North, Meseach Ssemakula, Dr. Bossa of the Ebonies actor Sam Bagenda, Mr. Charles James Ssenkubuge, Ms. Mariam Ndagire, and others are among them.
According to Honourable Muhammad Nsereko, a close friend of the deceased, Lubwama frequently mentioned to his close friends that he had to be buried after a week in case of death while he was still living.
“Let me reassure you that we will do as Kato instructed in his Will. We will obey what he has always spoken to me in confidence and directly, said Nsereko.
