The most anticipated festival in Africa, Nyege Nyege, which is scheduled to take place from September 15 to September 18 at Itanda Falls, Jinja, has received approval from the government.
The Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, who will also preside over the festival, took note of the plight of Ugandan youth who were looking forward to both having a good time and earning money from the mega festival. She then gave the event organizers the go-ahead to start making preparations for the festival, which is scheduled to take place in eight days.
For hundreds of young people in Uganda, the festival serves as a tourism, social, and economic centre where they can socialize, have fun, and exchange arts, gastronomic, cultural, and musical experiences.
Aly Allibhai, CEO of the Talent Africa Group, stated that security and regulatory agencies are working together to ensure the festival’s success.
“We pledge to collaborate closely with pertinent regulatory and security bodies to uphold Uganda’s tourist industry while giving Ugandans a chance to work hard and have a good time at the same time. Itanda falls from September 15 to September 18, according to Allibhai.
After almost three years away, the festival is back, and revelers all over the world are excitedly anticipating it.
