Sipapa was detained in connection with an alleged aggravated robbery that allegedly took place at the residence of South Sudanese national Jacob Arok in Kawuku-Bunga on the evening of August 28, 2022, according to a statement released by the Uganda Police on Tuesday evening.
The contentious socialite was detained by the Directorate of Crime Intelligence after spending a few days on the Police WANTED list.
According to Fred Enanga, plans are in place to turn over Sipapa to the CID task force at the Kampala Metropolitan Police for additional questioning and legal proceedings.

Five suspects have now been detained, following the earlier detentions of four individuals, including Shamirah Nakiyimba, the wife of Sipapa.
On the night of August 28–29, 2022, in Bunga, Sipapa is accused of planning a robbery that took place at the residence of Jacob Arok, a South Sudanese national from the Kawuku zone.
According to the information acquired, a group of thugs broke into the victim’s home on the night of August 28–29, 2022, after putting suspected chloroform on the residents who were fast sleeping.
The attackers raided the house and stole a 65-inch Samsung TV, four iPhones, two Apple computers, a DELL laptop, $429,000 in cash, and other valuables including gold jewelry for Jacob Arok’s wife.
During the subsequent investigations, KMP detectives located the spot in Kityo near, Buwate in Kira Division thanks to an iCloud signal from one of the stolen iPhones.
They spoke with the residents, who revealed that one Olim Charles SIPAPA owned the house but was away visiting Tororo.
In the presence of Nakiyimba Shamira, the wife of SIPAPA, a comprehensive search of the house was done, and exhibits of evidence purportedly taken from Arok Jacob’s residence were found.
Four iPhones, three computers, $70,000, gold jewelry, an iPhone charger, and a Mac Pro charger are among them.
