Thursday night will go down in Ugandan music history as the night female musicians came together and put their differences aside.
Spice Diana invited the media, close friends, and allies to her Star Gal EP launch, but she also remembered to include the not-so-close crucial industry players.
Her ostensible adversary Sheebah was one of the invited guests, and she honored the invitation by attending the EP listening event in Munyonyo with her team.
As soon as Sheebah arrived, the atmosphere changed as she offered hugs to anybody who requested one. Everyone was waiting to see if Spice would get one as well, and she did.
Sheebah made a significant statement for the industry as she walked up to the stage during Spice’s performance, putting her ego aside and squashing the beef that has been between them for a couple of years.
Spice Diana, visibly excited, stated that Sheebah has always been her mentor and that the media has presented a negative picture of their relationship.
When it was Sheebah’s turn to speak, she conveyed her joy as well, characterizing the situation as lovely.
“This is amazing. “Moments like this make me so happy as a woman because I am a feminist, not a phony feminist, but a true feminist, therefore I truly appreciate moments like these,” Sheebah said.
The Sheebaholics star also said that the male artists purposefully divided the female artists, but they are now banding together to prevent this from occurring again.
