Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy states that despite the fact that the whole local music business is against her, she is confident in her ability to win the UMA presidential election since God is on her side.
The ‘Boom Party’ singer is running for president of the Uganda Musicians Association, UMA, and is up against fellow musician King Saha, who is also running for president.
Given the number of celebrities who have come forward to voice their support for her opponent, the mother of two is dismayed that the whole entertainment world is against her.
However, the King Herself claims that she is still certain of a landslide triumph, leaving the rest of her obstacles to the Almighty.
“Sometimes it feels like it’s me against the industry but then again it feels like God is on my side so I cross my legs and take my tea.”- Cindy Sanyu
Cindy Sanyu is one of the candidates who was successfully nominated for UMA’s top position after singer Ykee Benda resigned in 2021.
Cindy, popularly known as the King Herself, has found herself in the middle of a controversy over her alleged dictatorial tendencies and alleged failure to bring Ugandan musicians together.
Cindy, on the other hand, claims she is willing to bring artists together and reconcile with her political opponents in order to present a new dispensation in her second term.
