Dre Cali was said to have flown to Canada in March 2022 amid lawsuits from his old management, Wyse Technologies Limited, which claimed to have an active contract with him as a music brand.
Mpaka Records boss Wycliffe Tugume a.k.a Ykee Benda later drew attention to the matter, confirming that Dre Cali had also left the record label, albeit informally.
Ykee Benda chastised the “Ekifuba” singer for not behaving professionally.
He also chastised Dre Cali’s wife and mother for discovering and concealing his cruel decision to leave Mpaka Records without regard for the company’s considerable investments in his potential.
Since then, there have been several mixed opinions from the media and public over Dre Cali’s saga, and we now anticipate a plot twist.
Dre Cali appears to be having a wonderful time with his other four buddies in Toronto, Canada, according to a picture sent as a reply to Ykee Benda’s pinned post on his Twitter handle by one Burk Holder.
Ykee Benda responded by wishing Dre Cali the best of luck in his undertakings.
In 2019, Dre Cali was officially signed to Mpaka Records.
Under his leadership at the Muyenga-based record label, he published songs like as “Ebisooka N’ebisembayo,” “Ekifuba,” “Best Thing,” and “Singa Manyi,” among others, which increased his status in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
