The territorial police in Serere have arrested four female siblings in connection with the murder of their 65-year-old father, Okure John, a retired worker at Serere’s Igola Research station and resident of Igora II village Okulonyo parish, Orio sub-county in Serere district.
According to the information gathered, on June 15, 2022, a woman named Martha Akwango was possessed by evil spirits and returned home from school crying. When she arrived at their home, her three female siblings began praying over her in order to cast out the demons who had attacked her.
During the prayers, the three female siblings attacked and beat their father while casting out demons from their younger sister.
The assault was so vicious that blood splattered everywhere and both eyes protruded. Achumo Deborah, Achom Ester, Ikwadi Susan, and Akwango Martha, their siblings, were arrested for their father’s biological murder.
Any normal person would find it difficult to comprehend their allegedly devilish father’s spiritual influence. They have been charged with murder.
