The revised remunerations for Uganda Cranes players and officials have been verified by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) ahead of the first two matches of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaigns. As Uganda prepares to face Algeria tonight in Algiers and Niger next week, the updated figures account for match day allowances and bonuses for each squad member (players and officials).
The latest news was delivered to the team via zoom last night by FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim.
The FUFA President addressed the entire delegation in Algiers before of tonight’s AFCON Qualifier match against Algeria, which is due to begin at 10 p.m. (EAT).
‘These are our new structures, and while we are on National team duty, we believe in inspiring the entire team.’ We’ve raised the pay, and now it’s up to the players to produce for the country and the fans. When they put on the Uganda Cranes jersey, I am confident they will continue to represent the country with pride. The most recent data cover the two matches against Algeria and Niger,’ the FUFA President explained.
According to the new data,
Increased match-day allowances from USD500 to USD750 per team member.
Bonuses: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Algeria will face Uganda.
Away Draw: $1,000 (previous) to 3,000 dollars (new) per person
Awa win: 2,500 USD (previous) to 5,000 USD (new) per person
