Ronald Mayinja thinks he was incorrect to record a praise song for President Museveni during the 2021 national elections after releasing ‘Abantu Baganye,’ a song that criticizes the government.
Mayinja, who has switched allegiances from one party to another, has stated that he is no longer interested in politics and instead wishes to pursue a career in music.
“I’ve always made songs for the masses.” I made a mistake by writing a song that wasn’t intended for the general public. “I apologize for that, and I understand that many people are upset with me,” he says.
