Jamal Wasswa, an R&B and Reggae singer, has joined the roster of local artists planning to release music albums before the end of the year. (Jamal Wasswa is putting together a new album)
Jamal, best known for his songs Abakyala Balabye, Abakyala Bazira, Omusomesa, and Oba Wuwo, among others, has not had a significant hit in many years.
He hopes to change that in the coming months with the publication of a brand-new record that he has been working on for quite some time.
Jamal Wasswa said on NBS TV’s KURT show on Saturday that he is working on a new album.
He added that he tried to merge his old music touch with contemporary urban vibes to create pleasant tunes on the new album.

Jamal also mentioned that he had worked with Artin Pro and Moses, who produced some of his classic tracks back in the day.
I’m putting together a new record. I’ve collaborated with Moses, the man behind some of my older hit tracks, as well as Artin Pro.
Several artists have already released albums, with Azawi’s African Music CD continuing to dominate airwaves.
