Mike Kayihura, a Rwandan storyteller and R&B singer and songwriter, is 29 years old and was trained to sing and write songs in Ethiopia.
Kayihura’s love of singing began at the age of 13 when she joined the choir at Christ’s Church in Gacuriro. His parents had a large influence on him, and he was inspired to become a musician as a result.
Kayihura began his professional music career as a singer after the publication of his first song, “Let Your Worries Go,” in 2014. He began as a keyboardist who enjoyed to vibe to a combination of classics like Bob Marley covers.

He is well known for his biggest hit “Sabrina,” which was recorded by Danny Beats and was a catchy song that swept Rwanda.
His recent releases Anytime, Zuba, and Tuza showcase his distinct sound and versatility as he merges Kinyarwanda with English to promote the Kinyatrap style of music. (Kayihura is getting ready for his Kampala gig on A Night with Mike – celebrity jazz ug)
