One of Western Uganda’s best singers in the past, who is best known for her 2004 hit song Tindatine, is upset with the criticism.
Lady Mariam hasn’t put out a significant song in a while, and she seldom ever makes an appearance at local performances.
Many of her supporters and detractors have questioned whether she is doing well as a result of her withdrawal from the social scene.
She recently made headlines when her own sister, Swabrah, hauled her to police for a Ugx7 million debt.
Since the Bryan White Foundation’s demise, there have been persistent rumors that Mariam Kemigisha is having financial difficulties.
She claims, however, that she is OK and does not require anyone’s assistance.
In a recent interview, Lady Mariam pleaded with the public to stop disparaging her because she has never requested assistance.
