This Friday, big stars in the African comedy scene will perform at this year’s Africa Laughs comedy show at the Kololo Airstrip in Kampala. Patrick Idringi, well known as Patrick Salvador to many, will be hosting and organizing the event, which will be held in its sixth iteration. Salvador chose the best stand-up comics from across the nation to perform at the event this Friday, including Eric Omondi from Kenya, Gordons from Nigeria, Q- Dube from Zimbabwe, Loyiso Gola from South Africa, Celeste Ntuli from South Africa, and Daliso Chaponda from Zambia.
Dr. Hilary Okello, Agnes Akite, Madrat and Chiko, Okello Okello, and musical performances by Azawi and Ykee Benda are among the Ugandan performers. According to Salvado, physical and online tickets are available and will cost Sh75,000 at the gate for regular and Sh50,000 for early birds. A VIP early bird ticket will cost Shs 100,000 online and Shs 120,000 in person. The cost of an 8-person table is Shs300,000.
