On Saturday night, Mbarara’s ultimate party spot was Agip Motel, as the Walker’s Tour stopped in the land of milk and honey. The inaugural up-country edition of the tour was held at the motel, which was decked up in yellow and gold. (What you might have missed at the Mbarara edition of the Walkers Tour)
Mat Henry, Vamous 256, and Truth 256 performed their latest releases with MC Kacheche and media celebrity Deedan as his co-hosts working the crowd and building it up for what was coming next.
The son of the land Ray G, among the Mbarara stars, was greeted with a scream of ovation that blew the roof off Agip Motel. He began by performing a popular favorite, ‘Iteeka,’ and it was evident that he belonged to the town and its people. The highlight of his performance, though, was his duet with Spice Diana, “Omushehe.”
