In the run-up to his “Katonda W’abanaku Mw’eno Ensonga” event, acclaimed city preacher Wilson Bugembe urged his people to throng to Hotel Africana and glorify God.
His supporters and other music fans heard his pleas and showed up in great numbers on the big day to fill the venue, which is often difficult for other artists.
He declared that the money from the event would go toward the completion of his 6,000-seat Worship House Church in Nansana.
By 3 p.m., the Hotel Africana was packed with people eager to see Pastor Bugembe, who has been releasing popular tunes for the past fifteen years.
Bebe Cool, Spice Diana, Exodus, Levixone, Nina Roz, Herbert Twine, Kabako, Mesach Semakula, and Brian Lubega, among others, delivered remarkable performances.
Exodus also used the occasion to admit to having strayed from his beliefs and become an alcoholic, but vowed to change his ways in the future.
Charles and Asiat, TikTok sensations, also made an appearance, which seemed to delight the crowd.
