If you regularly listen to the radio, watch local television, or are a close follower of Uganda’s entertainment business, you are definitely aware of the ‘Do me’ or ‘Muzibe wa Love’ songs that have been making waves throughout the airwaves. A number of vocal duos and groups have had success in the local music industry, and this might be the next one. Among the all-female groups, we have the Blu*3, Obsession, Dream Girlz, and HB Toxic, all of whom have since disbanded. The most recent additions are Kataleya and Kandle.
What we’re about to learn is who they are.
Early Childhood Development and Education
Kataleya was born on December 19th in the 1990s. Kataleya’s real name is Namakula Hadijah, and she attended Apostolic primary school in Mengo before attending Noah’s Ark in Rubaga for high school.
Kandle was born on February 22nd as Nabatuusa Rebecca Robins and attended Bunamwaya C/U primary school and Kyambogo College.
What brought them together
Despite the fact that they may appear to be biologically related, Kataleya and Kandle are best friends who have been together for several years after meeting at a birthday celebration.
Yes! Kandle met Kataleya, the birthday girl, when accompanying a friend to a birthday celebration. After exchanging numbers and connecting for a while, it was only a simple ‘hello’ that ignited the friendship that eventually bloomed into an unbreakable bond of best friendship. Journal of Music
They agreed to collaborate musically since they share similar views about music and share a passion for it. Their other source of inspiration was the fact that they were nothing like a girl pair when they began singing in Uganda. Their musical path is probably similar to that of any other Ugandan musician. After failing to find someone to invest in their ambition and coming up empty-handed, the couple opted to do it themselves, a decision they do not regret. They made a pledge to themselves that anyone who wanted to collaborate with them would find them along the path.
According to Kandle, the two began making songs in 2017 or 2018, after noticing that there was no female singing duo at the time. It was also her idea to close the gap.
Kataleya and Kandle’s ability and enthusiasm for music landed them contracts with Theron Music, a label that manages them. He notified them about the music auditions that Theron Music (a record company) had scheduled while doing a recording session at Nessim’s Studio. They contacted them, had them audition, and then received a call a few months later alerting them that they wanted to sign them.
The two contend that they are not classified by any musical genre since they consider themselves to be diverse, which they are. They can perform dance hall, afrobeat, soul, and a variety of other genres.
Dreams
The two do not always see their future in music because they each have a dream to follow. Kataleya wants to be a pilot, and Kandle wants to be an air hostess, and if the opportunity arises, they won’t pass it up. However, they claim they are here today and ready to take over the globe due of their love and enthusiasm for music.
Music, like any other profession, has its share of difficulties. Being a prominent figure has been the biggest source of stumbling blocks in their music career, according to them.
They mention the wardlobe and social life as an example. They claim that before they became famous, they could dress up whatever they wanted, hang out at any kafunda, and dine at any restaurant, but that all changed once they became famous.
As a duo, you could have a bright future.
Unlike previous strong duos we’ve seen, Kataleya and Kandle feel confident in their ability to stay together longer. First and foremost, entrust their continued existence as a duo to their managers. Regardless of what others say about groups, Theron Music is always on their side.
They also claim to have conducted extensive research into the obstacles that various singing groups have experienced around the world, and that they have learned a great deal from their mistakes and experiences

Kandle claims that the two are currently enamored with their music.
Hobbies and Interests
Fashion, movies, and travel are all things they enjoy. They both enjoy looking well and prefer to take care of themselves. In their spare time, the two spend time with their families, listen to music, watch TV shows, work out, and do a variety of other activities.
