Zafaran has released her first song through Swangz Avenue, titled “Sweetheart,” after signing a professional contract with the label last month.
Swangz introduced Zafaran, actual name Josephine Nakyoonyi, as their newest addition on March 18, 2022.
One month later, she drops her debut record, “Sweetheart,” a song that exemplifies what she stands for: powerful voice and poetic depth.
With the new tune, Dokta Brain wrote and Bomba produced, she formally kicks off her career. The song is danceable and she talks of her undying love for her intimate handsome beau.
The song’s exquisite harmonies, as well as the strewn bridges, interludes, and progressions, characterize a new generation of musicians with a strong technical foundation to back up their inventiveness.
Gabriel Kyambadde’s visuals are simple and colorful, with Zafaran expressing her deep love through movements and gestures.
On top of the outfits that highlight Africa’s wide and colorful culture, the choreographers add spice to the sights.
