Many Ugandan children, often against their will, flee their parents’ homes at a young age for a variety of reasons(I fled my parents’ house because I refused to marry off too soon – Stabua Natooro ).
Stabua Natooro, a singer, is no exception. She was also forced to leave her parents’ house at a young age.
Natooro said why she departed in an interview with Spark TV that she refused to be married off by her father at a young age.
Natooro was able to better her father’s living after she became successful in her singing profession, and her father apologized for having her married off at an early age.
When I was younger, I ran away from home because I didn’t want to get married off too soon. Women’s archetypal roles were held dear by my people.
My father eventually expressed regret about this. He was unaware of the significance of my progress.
The “Tujanjawaze” singer said that she had no idea she had a vocal skill when she was younger while speaking about her musical history.
She added that she used to sing at school functions but had no idea she was good at it until after she had given birth to her children.

I had no idea I had a singing skill when I was younger. I sang at home and at school events, but I had no idea I was talented. After I had already given birth to children, I found my skill later in life. “Natooro Stabua”(I fled my parents’ house because I refused to marry off too soon – Stabua Natooro celebrity jazz ug)
