Cindy Sanyu, the presidential candidate of the Uganda Musicians’ Association (UMA), has denied that her team is planning to rig the upcoming elections. (Cindy chuckles at claims of “UMA Presidential election malpractice”)
Cindy, UMA General Secretary Phina Mugerwa, and UMA electoral commission chairman Mr. Jeff Geoffrey Ekongo have allegedly established malpractice plans in the elections since her nomination for the’steamy’ Presidential seat last month, according to information from several sources.
The “Boom Party” singer, however, distanced herself from the charges of negligence during an interview with a local radio station.
Cindy labels these rumors as untrue, requiring proof before being reported to the police.
“Talking is pretty simple. I’d like someone to speak with proof rather than gossip. If they say we’re stealing votes now, we can assume they’re doing the same right now, based on hearsay. Before speaking, someone should have proof. And if you spot me, Phina, or Jeff rigging votes, please report us to the cops with evidence. “Those rumors are therefore incorrect,” Cindy Sanyu told Galaxy FM.
The incumbent further acknowledged that he has always shared the UMA Voters’ Register with all musicians on their various WhatsApp groups, without withholding any of the facts as rumored.

“Voter registration exists, and we share it with these artists on a daily basis.” Every artist in the database has a phone number that is listed in a WhatsApp group for artists. As a result, every artist is aware of who is on the voter list and who is not,” she noted.
Cindy also addressed concerns that certain UMA members were missing from the register, which she blamed on their late voter registration. (Cindy chuckles at claims of “UMA Presidential election malpractice” – celebrity jazz ug)
