Later, the group was mentored by renowned Ugandan entrepreneur Julian Adyeri Omala, who shared extensive information about the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful entrepreneur.
“In 1996, I started my business by carrying fresh juice on a wheel barrow and selling it to road users and people in Kikuubo trading center.” Begin with what little money you have. “Any entrepreneur must be aggressive and willing to take risks,” Adyeri stated.
“Face the fear if you want to thrive in these businesses you’ve learned,” Adyeri added. If you fail, take it as a learning experience because this docket requires persistence, accountability, purpose, and determination. “You chose to be poor,” Adyeri concluded.
Some of the contestants, including Derrick Sserwanga, Cosmas Ayebare, and Simon Simbwa, thanked MTN and Makerere Business School- MUBs for their business engagements with youths, which added value to their skills in order to combat Ugandan unemployment.
