Netizens are upset with Lucky Mbabazi for criticizing artists who did not attend the late Alex Ndawula’s funeral over the weekend. (Let Alex Ndawula rest in peace say netizens Lucky Mbabazi – after naming artists )
Alex Ndawula (59), a former Capital FM presenter, was buried on Sunday, more than three weeks after his death.
Lucky Mbabazi, a fellow radio presenter, was surprised that no artists attended the funeral to pay their respects to the late radio legend.
Mbabazi expressed her displeasure on Twitter, writing, “No single artist came for Alex Ndawula’s funeral, not even the mass at Capital FM, wadde the mass at Rubaga Cathedral.”
Her revelation elicited mixed reactions, with a few of her fellow media personalities siding with her in condemning artists for ignoring Ndawula’s burial.
They claimed that for a man who dedicated his life to promoting the music industry, it was a disgrace that no artists came to pay their respects.
Other internet users, however, were unable to comprehend Mbabazi’s concerns. They questioned why she would choose to target artists at such a sensitive time.
Some pointed out that those who did not attend the burial had their reasons, and it is not Lucky Mbabazi’s place to question why.
