Edrisa Musuuza, better known by his stage name Eddy Kenzo, is a Ugandan singer who was nominated for a 2023 Grammy Award last week.
The head of Big Talent Entertainment was recognized for his contribution to Matt B’s song “Gimme Love” in the category of Best Global Music Performance.
His ex-girlfriend Rema Namakula foresaw the nomination’s arrival seven years ago, and the country as a whole has been celebrating it ever since.
They were lovers at the time, and she had previously sketched a picture of the Grammy prize being displayed at their home.

She reasoned that because Eddy Kenzo worked so hard, he would eventually succeed in everything he set out to do.
Rema remarked, “The Grammy will be in my house in five years because he works really hard. He has to succeed in whatever he sets his mind to since he works so hard. Very!”
Kenzo, though, was only thinking about mentoring someone else to carry on his legacy and fill his shoes at the time.
