Kirya has performed in over 35 countries with artists including American singer NE-YO, German superstar Mark Forster and others

Maurice has encouraged a number of young, up-and-coming musicians to experiment with a genre of music that has not previously received much attention in the local music industry.
On Wednesday night, Kirya made the announcement that he is leaving the music business via his internet outlets. He revealed that he plans to embark on another journey unrelated to music.

Maurice Kirya will embark on a global tour, stopping in places including Paris, New York, London, Rotterdam, Berlin, Dubai, Nairobi, and Kigali before wrapping up his performances in Kampala with a major celebration.
The exact dates of his global tour have not yet been revealed.
The revelation has elicited a range of emotions among his supporters as they process both the lows of his departure and the highs of the remaining gigs.
