For the last few months, Sundays in Kampala have been dominated by old boys’ leagues as the plot for most Kampala thrill seekers. (Winnie Nwagi lights up the SMACK league as ex-players’ wives and girlfriends take the field )
And this weekend was no exception, as thousands flocked to Lugogo’s Legends Grounds for the fifth season of the SMACK league.
Despite the fact that SMACK is a single boys’ school, the Sunday edition had a unique twist as the wives and girlfriends of the old boys took to the field to play for charity.
The proceeds from each goal scored by the women were to be donated to charity, but the game ended 0-0, forcing the female teams into a penalty shootout.

The day was co-hosted by the Knights of the SMACK class of 2017 and the Lycans of the SMACK class of 2015. The Talibans defeated the Zulus 4-1, and the co-hosts faced off in the final match of the day, which the Knights won.
As usual, the hosts provided thrill seekers with a taste of what entertainment is all about. The edition was spectacular, from NTV’s Lynda Dane’s incredible hosting skills to SMACK league darling fire baby Winnie Nwagi’s exceptional performance and DJ ssese’s mixes.
