A 22-year-old male is being detained by police in Pader district after allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.
Moris Ayella, a Rachkoko inhabitant, is the suspect On Wednesday at around 8 o’clock, a community in the Lunyiri sub-county of the Pader district defiled the child.
In the absence of the mother, Ayella reportedly brought the child from her home to his room as she dozed.
The victim’s mother, 36-year-old Jennifer Apiyo, claims that she left the infant with the sister asleep and went to the neighborhood.
When her daughter returned home screaming and with blood on her dress, Apiyo informed authorities that she was surprised and described the incident.
According to Aswa River Region police spokesperson David Ongom Mudong, the suspect is being looked into for aggravated defiling.
Ongom claims that when police arrived on the scene, they found the victim’s blood-stained clothing and are still conducting a forensic study. To determine the suspect’s health, an examination will be performed.
