Henry Nkurunziza, the grand prize winner of the #UBLAt75 giveaway campaign that has been running on Sanyu FM for 75 days, was presented with a prize on Friday by Uganda Breweries.(Sanyu FM Campaign Grand Prize Winner: Uganda Breweries Awards #UBLAt75)
For the past 75 days, different radio listeners have won special beer gifts after ringing in and answering easy questions about our 75-year journey, UBL products, and activities over time.
Presenters Timothy CODE and Jaluo, with the help of UBL Corporate Relations Manager Brenda Kobutungi, performed a raffle draw at Sanyu FM to choose the grand prize winner from among the previous winners.
Mr. Nkurunziza was presented with a 43-inch LG Smart TV as well as a unique gift basket containing some of his favorite Uganda Breweries beverages.
He couldn’t contain his delight when he received the gifts and praised the brewery for remembering to include customers like him in the festivities.
“I called in and accurately answered my questions. I was summoned to the station and handed my gift basket. I didn’t expect to win anything else as significant on this particular day. “Thank you, Uganda Breweries,” he expressed his gratitude.
When asked what message he wanted to send to Sanyu FM listeners and UBL customers, Nkurunziza urged them to drink responsibly.
“Responsible drinking is something UBL has always stressed, and I think it’s a good thing.” That is also what I will tell customers. Mr. Nkurunziza continued, “Please drink better, not more.”
Brenda Kobutungi, who spoke at the handover, praised everyone who took part in the campaign and thanked them for being a part of the #UBLAt75 campaign.

“This giveaway was one of the actions we did as UBL to celebrate 75 years with our customers and make them part of celebrations of products and a brand that they have grown to love and own as part of their legacy,” she said.
Uganda Breweries began operations in Uganda in 1946 and produced its first beer, Bell Lager, in 1950, making it Uganda’s first beverage.
The brewery has been a leader in innovation for 75 years, developing exceptional products to meet market demands while also succeeding as a business, employer, and corporate citizen.
