The administration of Mbarara High School has expelled all of its Senior 4 and Senior 6 candidates following their involvement in a bloody fight in which 11 students were seriously injured. (Mbarara High School Expels S4 And S6 Candidates Following Bloody Fight )
According to Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson Samson Kasasira, Mbarara City Police responded last night to a distress call from members of the public regarding the misconduct of Mbarara High School students who had blocked the Mbarara-Bushenyi road and stolen merchandise from shops.
Kasasira observed that police anti-riot officers arrived on the scene and dispersed the students, driving them back into the school grounds where they were contained.

This misconduct was sparked by a fight between S.6 and S.4 students in which the O level candidates accused their A level counterparts of assaulting their classmate, and the fight began to spill over into the neighboring community in retaliation.
Kasasira also stated that 11 S.4 students were injured during the fight, and that ten of them have been admitted to Ruharo hospital and one to homily hospital in Mbarara City for treatment.
