After his lover Sheilah Gashumba made threats against her life public due to political issues, singer Rickman defended her firmly.
NBS TV host Sheilah Gashumba alleged in a tweet that four boda boda riders had been following her along Jinja Road around 1:50am on Sunday.
Sheilah said that her driver took a detour and lost the boda boda riders with passengers wearing helmets.
Given that she has been receiving threats via social media on relevant topics, she assumes it had something to do with politics.

Her lover Derrick Ddungu, also known as Rickman Manrick, stepped out in defense of her after learning about the development.
The “Bestie” singer tweeted that neither his lover nor politics as a field are things they support.
“My girlfriend is not involved in politics or a member of any political party. She hosts events, handles music PR, and does her own thing on television, among other things,” Rickman wrote.

He described the 26-year-old NBS’s methods. Daily abuses are hurled at the After 5 presenter, but she ignores them and goes about her business.
After that, Rickman pleaded with whoever might be endangering Sheilah to leave her alone.
“She is often called insults and names, but she continues to act independently. Please don’t involve her in politics. I’m grateful,” he added.
